Mohammad Afrajul, a Muslim migrant labourer who had been living in Rajasthan for more than a decade was killed in cold blood with a pickaxe and then burnt in an incident that was videographed and posted on social media on December 6th 2017.

270,000 rupees had been donated to the killer’s account

Nearly 2 lakh rupees was collected by his supporters and transferred to Shambulal, the perpetrator of the brutal murder. Police have frozen the bank account of the wife of Shambulal Raigar, and said that around 270,000 rupees had been donated to the account before they froze it.

The police have imposed Section 144 in Udaipur and internet services have been restricted by authorities. Udaipur is an adjoining district of Rajsamand.
