Jana Reddy requests Bharat Ratna for PV

Congress senior leader and former minister K Jana Reddy has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to honour former PM the late PV Narasimha Rao with Bharat Ratna.

In a letter to Modi, Jana Reddy mentioned, “PV served as minister in the state and central cabinets. He also served as chief minister of united AP. His contributions as the PM between 1991-1996, which is considered as one of the most turbulent periods, are immense.

The GDP growth was significant. For all the great achievements of PV, as a Telugu person and on behalf of the people of Telangana, I request you to honour him with Bharat Ratna posthumously” he said.

Will Modi consider Jana Reddy’s request? Many feel it will not be possible.
