Why did Nagam join Congress?

Senior leader and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy has been staying away from active politics for quite some time. Surprisingly, he became active all of sudden.

A couple of days ago, Nagam joined the Congress party.

Though he had joined the BJP, he maintained distance from the party. The popular leader from Mahabubnagar, met Congress president Rahul Gandhi along with Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy and formally joined the Congress party.

Rahul welcomed Nagam and reportedly asked him to strengthen the Congress party in Telangana.
