Cockfights Permitted In AP!

Whenever Sankranthi festival comes, the first thing that comes to mind for many is Cockfights.

Thousands of people in both the Telugu states bet big on the cock fights.

The Government has been granting for a 3-day permission for cock fights for the past three years. But this year, the decision has come a bit early.

AP Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa officially announced Cockfights are permitted for the Sankranthi festival lasting for three days. He also said that the need for respecting the law apart from continuing the traditions. Many say that the Government took this decision due to Jallikattu affect.

As the Government gave its node, Cockfights will be held on a massive level in Andhra Pradesh.
