Drunk driving accident: 6 persons killed in West Godavari

In a shocking road accident, six persons including a child were died in a road accident on Thursday.

According to reports, the accident took place at Kovvali village of Denduluru mandal in West Godavari district when the car there were travelling in fell into a canal.

All were the residents of Chellapally in Vijayawada and they were returning to their village from a function when the mishap happened.

The infant and 5 others were killed on the accident and the driver and two women escaped with minor injuries.

Preliminary reports say that the driver was drunk and he lost the control of the vehicle. The passerby thrashed the driver and handed him to the police.
