The much-delayed Naga Chaitanya- Gautam Menon’s Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo has hit the theaters on Friday. Let’s see how the film shaped up..

Leela Krishna Murthy (Manjima Mohan) is a Maharashtrian and she comes to Vizag to stay at her friend’s home for a few weeks. Chinna (Naga Chaitanya) is the brother of Leela’s friend. Leela gets attracted to Chinna and they become close in a short period. Both Chinna and Leela go on a road trip on bike to Kanyakumari. But in a dramatic turn of events, they met with an accident. Their life changes after the accident. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

There is no doubt that Naga Chaitanya is improving with each film. He is perfectly fitted into the role as a lover boy. He attracts everyone with his expressions. New heroine Manjima Mohan has beautiful looks and she performs well. She can easily go to places if she selects right films. Baba Sehgal has performed with ease as a bad cop. Others including Satish Krishnan have put in decent performances.

Even before the release of the film, the album of the film has become a big hit. All the songs are good. Background score is perfect and it elevates all the scenes. But the placement of the songs is not good. Cinematography is one of the main attractions of the movie. Production values are good. Editing could have been better and the pace of the film is very slow in the second half.

Gautam Menon made entire first half into a romantic love story and second half into a serious thriller. The first half of the film is very slow and it picks pace only post interval. The placement of the songs also not good and it tests the patience of movie lovers.

Good narration, AR Rehman’s music, romantic track between the lead pair and Cinematography are some of the plus points of the movie. On a flip side, the climax looks unconvincing. All in all, if you ignore slow narration, Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo can be watched for once.

Final Talk: It’s not a jolly ride..
