Boomerang must be the most trendy and admired plaything for the politicians. TDP Fuhrer Nara Chandrababu Naidu seems no exception to it. But, the boomerang of hereditary politics hit him hard as he missed the target miserably again.

Speaking at length about the hereditary politics of Congress Party and the Gandhi-Nehru Family Monopoly over the Congress leadership has been his pet theme for the last few decades.

He also took serious objection to KCR promoting his son, daughter and nephew to higher places in the TRS Party.

Although he never misses an opportunity to talk tall and loud about the “Hard Workers Only” promotion policy implemented in his Party, he remains himself a huge exception to it. It is everybody’s knowledge that Babu got promoted in his Party to upper echelons by the single virtue of his being the son-in-law of Late NTR. An erstwhile Congressman, who held a Junior Ministry in a Congress Cabinet of the erstwhile AP State for some time, Chandrababu crossed the carpet to join his Father-in-law only to back-stab him at an appropriate time. That’s all History now.

But, the History seems to be repeating itself in his Party.

The Nara scion Lokesh, was appointed by his father as a General Secretary of the TDPCC. He was also made an ‘ExOfficio Member’ of the Politburo of TDP.

Senior leaders of the Party and those who carried the banner of the Party for ten long years when Babu consecutively failed to win the confidence of Telugu voters are now raging in fury against Lokesh’ jackpot promotion to top posts.

Is TDP Fuhrer listening?
